we are 9 days into the Faith in Family 30 day challenge...today is going to be cool for someone...it's pretty simple and to the point....
at my house today, it is going to momma day....i am going to tell the kids it is her day....everything she tries to do, we are going to make sure she just chills out and does nothing....i am not so sure how she is going to react to this, but it should be fun....
Challenge:
Pick someone in your house and make it their day....
- do everything for them
- make sure everyone chips in
- make it important and spontaneous
- get the kids involved
- tell everyone you come into contact with who's day it is too
you say what does this have to do with anything...
there is a story in the bible where the disciples ask Jesus what is the greatest commandment? he tells them the first one is easy, that we love Him with all our heart, body and mind...the second is, we must love others more than we love ourselves....
by making this day someones day, we are putting feet to God's command...it is not going to be easy...its not going to be fun the whole time....its going to be challenging when they don't want you to do anything for them because they are able....keep on trying no matter what they say....now, don't make anyone upset, but tell them why you are doing this...
hopefully we can feel a little bit how God feels while he is trying to take care of us....it may help us be more Christlike and others see Christ in our lives...
have fun and get it done......
